Is there a market for almost done tires?

My intention was to replace 2 of my summer Conti ProContact tires in the spring before my lease runs out in August. This was the dealers recommendation after measuring the tread, and I assume they err on the side of caution. After !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , I now have 4 tires that I can't really use. Considering the timing, would it be worthwhile to sell them or is it easier for me to just recycle?

Yeah I had a buddy with a drift Mustang who was always asking us for our end-of-the-line tires.

Is the Golf big in the drift scene? That might be fun to watch

There is a market...head for the, um, less well off part of town and you'll find used tire dealers. That or Craigslist...
